Snow Pack's
Alaskan Malamutes of the Rockies
Welcome to our home
We are not a kennel, we are outdoor enthusiast and enjoy life on a regular basis with our mals.
We do not show our mals but competing is in our future.
We will be working with the mals on weight pulling as soon as we get settled in our new home.
Aspen and Tonka love hiking in the mountains and near by trails. Tonka is doing great with backpacking and we are increasing his weight as he grows.
We have made many changes in the last few months. We have added Kayuh, Takari , Nanook and Nador. We will be working wtih them as well.
We are devoted to our mals and are very much apart of our family day and night.

Many people come to me and ask about health problems.
I really hope this helps people understand health issues in dogs.
Any dog can end up with health problems. No testing can prevent or predict all health problems ! !
Sometimes, things just happen for reasons unknown. As a breeder, we can test and research bloodlines and HOPE to produce healthy puppies. We can not guarentee a dog or puppy to be healthy. We hope that they are and do our best to makes sure the dogs we breed are as healthy as they can be to the best of our knowledge and the knowledge of our vets.
We can research our bloodlines for dogs in the past that have been diagnosed with health issues, but we only know of the cases that are reported - if any.
Then why do we offer a health guarentee? Breeders who offer a health guarentees - it should mean and usually does mean that they have done the best they humanly possibly can to produce a healthy puppy. Verses someone who really doesn't know or doesn't care. Who hasn't done the research and doesn't know the history of the dogs they have.
Though we hope to only produce healthy puppies, we know that we are only human and sometimes we just don't have control over the health of all puppies. So if your puppy does happen to end up with a genetic health issue that is bad enough to alter the quality of the puppy's life, we will replace the puppy with the next available puppy. Please read our contract ( www.snowpackmals.com )
We care about the pups we produce and don't want any pups to end up in shelters. We will gladly take back any puppy (if possible) or help find a new home - no questions asked.
Thank you for stopping by
